When we were researching all the best methods of getting your food to you in the best possible condition we tried A LOT of services, with varying different results.  We took loads of factors in to consideration, cost, time to deliver, condition of the parcel being just a few but we found there was one clear winner.  What helped us to make the decision is that our chosen courier is also Carbon Neutral!  As sustainability is at the core of our business reducing our carbon footprint is a key factor an our chosen courier looks to reduce theirs in any way they can, by precisely measuring their carbon footprint per parcel and offsetting the remaining emissions by funding clean energy projects around the world.
  1. Where do you deliver to?

Currently we deliver to mainland UK residential and business addresses only.  Due to adherence to Food Safety guidelines we use a carbon neutral courier service to ensure that our plant based meals arrive with you still frozen and therefore unfortunately we currently can’t supply the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and some areas of the UK that are remote.   We’re sorry if our meals can’t reach you yet and would encourage you to sign up to our newsletter to keep up to date as new locations are added.  Root Kitchen is still a relatively small business however as we grow bigger we will be delivering further as it is our aim to get more people eating more plant based meals more often.

If you live in an isolated area it would be worth giving our customer support team a call or email on (07718 424 793 / hello@rootkitchen.uk as we may be able to arrange an overnight courier.

  1. Do your products arrive frozen?

Yup, they sure do.  Our chef prepared meals are packed in the best quality, double walled boxes, special insulating liner made from recycled denim and frozen ice packs to ensure that they are still frozen when they land on your doorstep.

The box insulation we use is 100% sustainable is the perfect for your vegan meal. This material is 100% biodegradable, so just pop it on your compost heap.

  1. Is there a minimum order?

Yes, you can build a box of either 6, 8 or 10 meals with 10 being the best value for money due to the amount we can send out in one delivery. This is due to the cost of the carbon neutral courier service and specialist packaging that we use to make sure your meals are perfectly frozen when they arrive at your house.

  1. Can you deliver my order even if I am going to be out?

You sure can. When you place your order there is a space for you to let us know where you would like the delivery to go if you are not in.  Most people either nominate a trustworthy neighbour or choose a safe place to leave their food parcel until they are home.

  1. Can I order gift cards or food boxes as a gift for someone?

Yes! Our gift cards are a great way of spreading the gift of plants and can be ordered from our ‘Gift Cards’ section. We also have a ‘Gifting’ category where you can send a box of our delicious plant based ready meals along with a personalised message to someone who deserves a treat.
