Vegan Hacks - Try These Fruits for Breakfast

David Beaver

A good breakfast is often recognised as an essential way to start your day however what you put in your bowl will influence how much nutritional value you get. Eating fruit first thing in the morning will help kick start your digestive system and can even help you wake up naturally without having to rely on a morning cup of coffee. Here are our favourite fruit recommendations you can enjoy first thing when you're breaking your fast.

First up is my personal favourite fruit Strawberries.  As these can be grown naturally in the UK we can source them locally another excellent for your health as they include anthocyanins, which improve your short-term memory and help you be more productive during the day. They're also naturally low in calories and high in nitrates, so they're ideal fit you are on a diet or trying to tone up for the summer.

Next up is Kiwis, which are ideal for those of you looking for needing a vitamin C boost but aren't a fan of oranges.  Both are awesome fruits that are high in vitamin C, and kiwis have also been proven to help avoid macular degeneration, cataracts, and other vision issues. Kiwis include vitamin E, which promotes healthier, younger-looking skin (and everyone wants to look younger right?!).

Finally, its Apples which are super high in soluble and insoluble fibre, which helps you to regulate your digestive tract whilst lowering cholesterol levels. Apples include natural sugar that helps you wake up and face the day, as well as antioxidants that protect your body from a variety of diseases and illnesses.

Adding one of these common fruits to your breakfast can provide you with a surge of energy as well as other natural health advantages so consider one of these sweet and healthy alternatives before picking up a coffee on your way in to the office.
